I have officially started collecting quarters
I find the state quarters quite lovely. Right now, I have: Delaware Georgia Maryland Massachusetts Minnesota New Hampshire Oklahoma Pennsylvania South Carolina Virginia West Virginia Wyoming 40 or so more to go, but at least I have the most important ones, ho ho ho! Then I also have one of the non-States, “Guam”, and one from the next series, “Vicksburg”, but I...

This is why I can’t take Roger Ebert seriously. “I have not seen the original film but I’m going to ask a million stupid questions which would easily be answered if I had watched and/or done my research on said first film.” Tropa de Elite is incomparably awesome.

I usually do not read Jonathan Rosenbaum’s articles for the simple reason that I know none of the movies he constantly references to. In this case, however, the article “only” mentions 2 films I have not seen, “Jewel Robbery” and “The Man I Killed”. Of course, in the meantime, I have already procured those films. Ho ho.

Galaxy S II - rabito bling bling →
I have been agonizing about getting an iPhone for a long time, and this was the reason. But now, with Samsung’s popularity having turned into my savior on a white horse, I can now finally get a Galaxy S2 with the respective rabbit case! YAY YAY! The question is: Which color to choose? Black is boring, white gets dirty, yellow and green are rather ugly. Baby pink and hot pink are silly - can you...

Cozy Lummox: criterion →
The art director at Criterion (also a comic artist) shows the design process of their covers. Fascinating yet sometimes I’m like “oh God I don’t even want to know how they ended up there!”

Criterion Top 10's →
Criterion did it again. Interesting names include Wes Anderson (who likes Imamura too much) Steve Buscemi (who likes some awesome looking movies I have almost all not seen) Guillermo del Toro (who writes and directs like an a**h*** but I like his choices. Also sorry, Mr. del Toro you might like “The Spirit of the Beehives” but you will never become a Victor Erice) James Franco (who...
